What’s Coming Up Next? – Tom Bluewater Introducing DropZone 2 for macOS

Mac application DropZone 2

TOKYO (Tom Bluewater) – It’s cold. It’s rainy. Actually, it has rained several straight days except yesterday, I think. I hope we can see a beautiful sunlight tomorrow. Maybe, not… According to a weather forcast, it won’t be sunny till Friday. For those who are saddened by days of rain, let me cheer you up by introducing you a new software title. It’s called DropZone 2.

This is an 8-year-old series. The initial release was named d-d Zone. It was dead for many years. And it’s now back to life as DropZone 2.

Imagine developing software from start to end all by yourself, writing code, designing an icon, designing promotion images and so forth. And you have to access this folder and that folder. If you wonder if there is a desktop application that lets you manage file storange folders altogether, DropZone 2 is one. You can register any number of (destination) folders and volumes. If the color of a drop box representing a particular destination folder is red, it means that it is currently not accessible. If you want to send files to any of destination folders, just drag and drop them onto a drop box in green.   Continue reading

What’s Coming Up Next? – Tom Bluewater Introducing Deskcap 3 for macOS

Mac application Deskcap 3

TOKYO (Tom Bluewater) – Suddenly Susan, we have been under cold temperatures in the Tokyo area for the past several days. I guess we are in the winter. Umm… I definitely don’t like it. I guess we have to endure it for the next four months.

Well, we are releasing the second software title of the month today. This new release is called Deskcap 3.

Deskcap 3 is a desktop application that lets you create a virtual frame on your desktop. Imagine a situation where you have to create a desktop movie. If you have a large display like one capable of showing 2,560 points x 1,440 points, you may only need a portion of it, say, 1,440 points x 900 points at the top left corner. In this situation, you can use Deskcap 3 to create a virtual frame so that it will cover the outside of the visible area with a color frame.\n\nYou can create any number of virtual frames. The application comes with a status menu. In order to set a virtual frame, you can just select one under the status menu.   Continue reading

What’s Coming Up Next? – Tom Bluewater Introducing Image2Go 4 for macOS

Mac application Image2Go 4

TOKYO (Tom Bluewater) – It’s getting quite cold although daily temperatures are way above the freezing point. Hopefully, it won’t get much colder until mid-January. Oh, whoa… It’s been exactly one month since I released the last iOS or a desktop application for macOS. Finally, I’m ready to release a new software title, which is called Image2Go 4.

Image2Go 4 is a desktop application that lets you quickly process a bunch of image files at a time. Whether you want to just change graphic formats, apply a black and white graphic filter to images, create app icon folders (AppIcon.appiconset), create TIFF packages, you can just rely on a single, image-processing desktop application.   Continue reading
