Mac Game Review: Little Shop of Treasures 2

Little Shop of Treasures 2

It’s been a week since we became obsessed with small games that are published by GameHouse. Perhaps, this game is the last for now.

So what is Little Shop of Treasures 2? It’s a very simple game that anyone can play. The rules are very simple. All you have to do is find certain items in a shop full of things. If you find an item that a customer is looking for, then just click on it. And the request will be fulfilled. It’s that simple. Continue reading

Mac Game Review: Monopoly Here & Now Edition

Monopoly Here & Now

The name of the company producing this board game changed throughout its history of mergers and acquisitions. Whatever the name of the company is, you must have heard of the name of the board game itself. Monopoly is one of the world’s most popular board games. If you grew up in North America before the advent of the Internet, you must have played Monopoly once in your lifetime.

There was another Mac game called Monopoly in 2000 that was developed by Hasbro Interactive, ported to Mac OS by Westlake Interactive and published by MacSoft. It runs only under the Classic environment. We actually tried to install it on iMac 333 MHz today. But we encountered a data-reading error. Anyway, it supported the multiplayer function through GameRanger. And a few people were still playing this game online through GameRanger back in 2004.

This game, Monopoly Here & Now Edition, is probably developed by Tik Games, LLC. (We aren’t sure.) Anyway, it’s published by GameHouse, Inc. Continue reading

Mac Game Review: Zuma Deluxe

Zuma Deluxe Mac

There are not many exciting action games available for Mac OS after the 2004 Christmas season. These days, only simple puzzle or arcade games are available for us except a few. I just double-clicked on the game icon of Zuma Deluxe from Big Fish Games by accident. But whoa… This arcade game can be quite addictive. I played for 6 to 7 straight hours yesterday. I’m pretty much committed to playing only action and RTS games. But this game is fun even for me! By the way, Zuma Deluxe is available for both Mac and PC.

After launching the game and arriving at the main menu enter Adventure. (See Screenshot 01.) Then enter Temple of Zlikulkan. (See Screenshot 02.) The first stage contains 5 levels. When you clear all the levels, then the entrance to Stage 2 will open. Continue reading

Mac Game Review: Colin McRae Rally Mac

Colin McRae Rally Mac

For Mac gamers, 4×4 Evolution, which was released in October 2000, was something new. Ever since, there have been many games that feature car racing. Colin McRae Rally Mac is one of those car race games. Colin McRae Rally Mac is published by Feral Interactive. It’s most likely the Mac adoption of Colin McRae Rally 2005, which debuted for PC on October 28, 2004. Continue reading
