So what kind of game is The Lord of the Rings: Conquest? Remember a 2003 game called The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King? It’s a great action game published by EA Games. Some people didn’t like it partly because they said the game was used to advertise the movies. The Lord of the Rings: Conquest is a bit similar to The Return of the King in game-play-wise. You won’t play any of the movie characters in this game, though. Some people said that The Return of the King was a tough game. In this game, if you die, you will be respawn and allowed to change characters.

Left 4 Dead – Game Review, Playing Left 4 Dead with Mac Boot Camp

Left 4 Dead Mac Boot Camp

MacHouse game rating: 8.5/10

Left 4 Dead is an interesting action/horror game published by Electronic Arts. Electronic Arts released the game in North America in November 18. Left 4 Dead was developed by Valve Corporation, the game developer of the hit game series Half-Life.

It’s a game where you fight zombies. If you watch the introductory cinematic video of the game, you will find out that something must have happened two weeks before. Some sort of an infection has transformed people into zombies. It sounds like this game is inspired by 2002 horror movie 28 Days Later…. If you play the single-player game, you will control one of the four characters (Bill, Francis, Louis and Zoey). You can choose any of them, and other characters will assist you.

By the way, there aren’t many PC/Mac games involving zombies, are there? The only game that I can remember is Stubbs the Zombie. Austin/Texas-based company Aspyr Media released the game for both Mac and PC on November 21, 2005. Left 4 Dead is totally different from Stubbs the Zombie, though. As I remember, the guy you control in Stubbs the Zombie can heal himself at any time by eating people’s brains. In Left 4 Dead, you use a first aid pack, which isn’t always available. And the crucial difference is that you play the zombie in Stubbs the Zombie and fight ordinary people.  Continue reading

Dead Space is a third-person action/horror game developed by EA Redwood Shores. Electronic Arts released the game on October 20, 2008. We have made and released more than 10 game play videos for this game. Unless it’s a good game, we wouldn’t make so many game play videos. Anyway, let’s find out how this game works.

First of all, let us tell you how the story of Dead Space evolves briefly. The character that you play in this game is Isaac Clarke. He is onboard the USG Kellion. Other people onboard the USG Kellion are Zach Hammond (the chief security officer), Kendra Daniels (computer specialist) and two more crew members. Their mission is to locate USG Ishimura and to find out the cause of communications blackout.

The USG Ishimura is a mining vessel, which has gone missing in the Aegis System. Daniels and mission leader Hammond will gradually find out that ship’s captain Benjamin Mathius was working on an illegal operation in a prohibited system. The deaths of the crew members onboard the Ishimura and the illegal operation have something to do with the MakerContinue reading

Electronic Arts released Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 in North America in October 28. The game was developed by Electronic Arts Los Angels. The game screen of Red Alert 3 is quite similar to that of Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars, which Electronic Arts released for PC on March 26, 2007. But Red Alert 3 has an interesting, unique story to go with.

Watching the introductory cinematic movie, you will find out that the Soviet regime is about to fall. Premier Cherdenko reveals to General Krukov that he’s been working on a top-secret mission for the past 12 months. A time machine is almost ready. Dr. Gregor Zelinsky is in charge of developing it. Despite Premier’s direct order, he hesitates to test his time machine. Anyway, they will test it. And they will return to the moment when Albert Einstein was making a speech at an international physics convention in Brussels in 1927. When the Premier touches Einstein, the course of the history will be altered for good. Old enemies are now gone. But they have a new one. It’s the Empire of the Rising Sun.
