This series is intended for those who have just started using Final Cut Pro 6 without prior experience in digital video editing and need some guidance. This Final Cut Pro 6 video tutorial series is for offline editing. That is, we assume that all video clips are stored on a hard disk drive. So we don’t import videos from video cameras.

We’ve seen largely how Final Cut Pro works. We now enter Part II, where we learn how to import video files in different cases. In this video tutorial, we will see we can use MPEG-2 files with Final Cut Pro.

In the second video of the tutorial series, we go over Final Cut Pro 6’s basic functions. We try to import a set of files to Final Cut Pro, which is not a problem. But when we bring a video clip to Timeline, we get a message that says “This clip does not match this sequence’s settings or any of your sequence presets.” Now, what do we do? And what does a red line at the top of the Timeline window indicate?
