Embedding QuickTime Movie in HTML

LimeWire QuickTime

The purpose of this video tutorial is to show how to embed QuickTime movie in HTML. We use Adobe Dreamweaver to introduce some of the main ‘attributes’ used in QuickTime’s Embed Tag. Another approach we show in this VTC is use of a built-in Java function (Behavior) that is available in Dreamweaver to embed QuickTime video.

  • This VTC version: 1.0
  • Video length: 7 minutes 23 seconds
  • Video format: QuickTime
  • Video compression: H.264
  • Video resolution: 720 x 540 pixels
  • Audio commentary: Not available

  • So which attribute will make the embedded video fast-start? The answer is … None. Instead, enable ‘Internet Streaming’ with the option of ‘Fast Start.’ In this way, the movie will start before the whole data will be downloaded to user’s hard disk as cash. And remember to save the QuickTime video with ‘Save As…’ before uploading it to the server.
