TOKYO (MacHouse) – FLAC and Monkey’s Audio have gained a lot of popularity over the past several years. FLAC is especially popular when it comes to classical music. But what can we really do with those audio files if you can’t use them with Microsoft‘s Windows Media Player or Apple‘s iTunes.
We initially developed xLosslessAudio for Mac users so that they could convert two popular lossless audio formats into more iTunes-friendly ones. Now, xLosslessAudio is available for Windows users. xLosslessAudio takes an entire folder containing audio files that are compressed with FLAC (.flac) or Monkey’s Audio (.ape). Then it will let you convert those audio files into one that is compatible with Windows Media Player and iTunes. The supported export formats include AAC (.m4a), Apple Lossless Audio, MP3, WMA and WAV.
