TOKYO (MacHouse) – It’s been just several days since we had the last triple releases. And we’ve just released the sixth Windows software title. It’s called IPSmith.

If you are a web administrator, you may be forced to ban some IP addresses. Some people make a death threat if they don’t get what they want. Some people with a malacious intention may open a support ticket to upload an obviously suspicious attachment. Or take BrotherSoft as an example. What they have done!? (See Screenshot 1.) They’ve written to our undisclosed, confidential e-mail address that e-mail harvesters have possibly collected by hackinng other web sites. After blocking a specific IP address, you may wonder one year from now why you were forced to block that IP address?

IPSmith is a simple desktop application that lets you keep records of known IP addresses. When you enter an IP address and press the Lookup button, IPSmith can find the country and the country codes of the corresponding IP address. And you can give a description to each IP address you record.

This software title is currently distributed as a freeware title as it’s still in beta. You can use it without limitations till May 1, 2012. It’s been tested for Windows 7 64-bit.
