TOKYO (MacHouse) – It has been just a couple of days since we released the third software title of the month. And we are ready to introduce another. This new software title is called PNG4iDevices.

PNG4iDevices is a simple application that will allow software developers to generate various sizes of PNG files for iPhone & iPad applications.  With a single square-ratio PNG/PSD/TIFF image, you can generate different PNG images (29 x 29 px, 50 x 50 px, 57 x 57 px, 114 x 114 px, …, 512 x 512 px).  If you have a source image each for multiple applications, you can just drag and drop them all onto the listbox, which serves as a drop box, to generate icon images at a time.

Of course, you could just use Preview to convert a source image into one different size after another. Or try PNG4iDevices to save your valuable time.

PNG4iDevices is a product of MacHouse.
iPhone and iPad are products of Apple, Inc.

  1. Hi, i think your application is very useful PNG for iDevices, i often find myself struggling to convert my images using Ai or Ps, which takes longer to do such a simple task. however i would ask you to add user defined resolutions so i can pick 48×48 or 28×28 so i can target menus and web and other applications.

hoping to see that in the update

  2. Cartero,

Thank you for your feedback and request. I’ll take a close look. I don’t think that will be a problem. More likely, I can add that user-defined square-ratio dimensions today and pass an update to Mac App Store. (It can take them weeks or even months to review it, though.) If you have any more requests, please feel free to let us know.

  3. We’ve updated PNG4iDevices to 1.1.0. You have several additional export sizes (64 x 64 or 60 x 60, 48 x 48, 36 x 36…) to choose from. For more information, please launch application and choose Help > Version History.
