TOKYO (MacHouse) – It hasn’t even been five days since we released the last software title. But we are ready to introduce a new one. The first software title of the month to introduce is called FontsView .

FontsView is a simple text previewer with the font of your choice. Sometimes, it’s not very easy to pick the best font especially if you have hundreds of them to choose from. FontsView will let you quickly preview text with a given font so that you can pick the best choice. Choosing File > Export, you can generate an HTML file with lines of text with all available fonts along with a text color and text size of your choice.
Click on the button for more information on FontsView.
FontsView is a product of MacHouse.

Your description doesn’t mention if it works with your INSTALLED fonts or with NON-INSTALLED fonts. It’s a big difference. Can you answer the doubt?
Thanx!
I’m not sure what you mean by installed and non-installed fonts. Do you mean defaults fonts that are installed by OS and fonts that you’ve installed yourself? Anyway, there’s a trial version at software’s website. So I would test it if I were you.
It would be very helpful if you could allow the user to change the background color. Currently, all text is displayed on a gray checkerboard background, which makes many fonts, particularly at small sizes, almost completely illegible. I must confess to being completely mystified as to why the developers chose this approach.
At the very least, please just provide a plain white background. At best, give us the option to set the background to any color, as can already be done with the text. Thank you, and our thoughts are with you as you recover from the earthquake!

Everybody is different, and everybody has his/her own taste.

Sure… That could easily be arranged except that Mac App Store has rejected the last software update by stating Asian fonts don’t appear in the list when the user adds to them to Favorite fonts. After showing a screenshot with Asian fonts correctly appearing in the list, they won’t budge.
I’m looking to text in color of preference to Facebook . Is this the app ?
No, it’s not.
FontsView Version 2 coming soon…
