TOKYO (MacHouse) – When you work with international customers, it is sometimes necessary that business owners like us know their local time. There are many time zones. And it will be hard to keep track of their local time when the summer nears because not all countries adopt the summer time adjustment.
Mac OS comes with a widget called World Clock. It’s a great tool. But a problem with it is that it won’t show the date. So you won’t be able to tell what day it may have become after you set a different time zone.
Soon to be introduced is our new Mac software title called GlobalClockz. GlobalClockz will let the user run (non-static) multiple international clocks simultaneously. You will be easily able to tell the date after selecting a new time zone. And you can’t even tell if it’s before or after noon.
One interesting feature of GlobalClockz is called World alarm. It will allow the user to set alarm clocks not at the local time but also across different time zones.
GlobalClockz is a product of MacHouse.
I purchased the Mac version of GlobalClokz, and it does not seem to be working properly, although the description on the website is so vague and difficult to discern— I’m not really evens sure what to expect. I have a new MacBook Pro, with OS X Version 10.7.4. When I down loaded it, it seemed to disappear from my Applications directory, but I then detected what was probably the download and dragged it back to the Applications directory and dlicked on it. Eventually the blue and free globe appeared in the dock. It all seemed to load properly in the beginning and I set the time for the cities I am interested in and set an alarm. However, the alarm never went off.
I would like to know if it’s possible to put a copy of the New York clock into the dock or the menu bar.
In any case, this program does not seem to be behaving properly and I wondered if I could get a refund. I did see the directions , again, on youtube — but there was no sound. It’s very difficult to follow anything without any sound! I’m sorry, but I’m not impressed by the quality of the product. Please help!
>When I down loaded it, it seemed to disappear from my Applications directory
That has nothing to do with this application.
>I would like to know if it’s possible to put a copy of the New York clock into the dock or the menu bar.
I don’t find any trouble doing it myself.
>I wondered if I could get a refund.
Please talk to Mac App Store if you have to.
Hi,
We are running the clocks on a mac. I have just reloaded the program on to a the mac but it loaded itself onto a third screen which makes it impossible to used.
How can I get the clock to load onto the main screen. I am using two screens,
I’m afraid I don’t have an answer for your question since I have use multiple screens. Excuse me, but what does reloading the program mean? Whatever that means, if you don’t reload the program, it works as it’s supposed to?
