Dark Sector is a new 3rd-person action game that was released last week by Aspyr Media, a Austin/Texas-based game publisher. The game was published for PC in March 24. It was also published for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in March 25 . Dark Sector was developed by Digital Extremes, which also worked in the past on such PC games as Pariah (2005), Unreal Tournament 2004 (2004), Unreal Tournament 2003 (2002) and Adventure Pinball: Forgotten Island (2001).
This QuickTime video shows an entire game play from Chapter 5: The Shipment. We have to skip Chapter 4 because it’s very long. And Chapter 5 is much more existing.
Soon after the chapter starts out, Hayden will be stopped by the Jackal, a big robot with two machine guns. If he throws the electricity-charged Glaive at it, the Jackal will be stunned. Going behind it, the Jackal will be totally under Hayden’s control. This section of the game kind of reminds me of F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin‘s Powered Armor. This is very cool. The Powered Armor is much more powerful, though.
As you see in one of the screenshots below, there is another section where Hayden must shoot down a helicopter. Whew… Chapter 5 will give you little time to breathe air. It’s pretty much a non-stopping action-filled chapter. Hayden is now on board a cargo ship. He has a time constraint. He has to get out of the ship, and he only has 10 minutes. Getting out of the ship won’t be so easy.
