What’s Coming Up Next? – Tom Bluewater Introducing Animal Me for iOS

iOS iPhone software Animal Me RSS feeds

TOKYO (MacHouse) – Before this month ends, I have one more iOS app to introduce. The iPhone-only app that I submitted to Apple‘s App Store several minutes ago is called Animal Me.

Animal Me is similar to the last iOS app that I submitted to App Store. This iPhone-only app lets you turn your camera selfie into an animal. You have five animal costumes to choose from. Take a camera selfie through this app and then pick an animal costume. The app also lets you add a comment to your animal selfie.

What’s Coming Up Next? – Tom Bluewater Introducing RayBeams for Mac OS X

Mac OS X software RayBeams

TOKYO (MacHouse) – A few years ago, I developed a desktop application called goSplash. This application lets the user create a picture of a ray of beams. I admit that it’s not very easy to use since you cannot precisely control the number of beams. After switching to Swift, I’ve had a better idea in developing a similar app. A new desktop application that I submitted to Mac App Store a few hours ago is called RayBeams.

RayBeams is a simple desktop application that lets the user create a picture with a ray of beams. A resulting picture is a composite of a solid-color background image with a ray of beams originating from the center. The user can control the number of beams (4 to 1,000). So select two colors with the number of beams, and just click on the Save to Disk toolbar button. That’s it.   Continue reading

What’s Coming Up Next? – Tom Bluewater Introducing AllNews for iOS

iOS iPhone software AllNews RSS feeds

TOKYO (MacHouse) – Personally, I don’t watch TV. I don’t even own a TV set. It’s not that I’m anti-social. Instead, I read news on the web. In fact, I’m a news junkie. I go to one news web site after another to read news a dozen times a day. I introduced a desktop application called NewsRoll to the OS X world about a year and a half so that I could read news from different sources at a time. It’s been quite a hit in many countries. So I now have a similar iOS app of this kind. It’s called AllNews.

AllNews is a mobile app for iPhone and iPad users who would like to read multiple RSS news feeds at a time instead of visiting one news web site after another. With this app, you don’t scroll a list of news captions. Rather, AllNews will scroll each line of news captions for you. So just watch them and tap a news caption that catches your eyes so that you can read the entire story with a web browser. The app comes with a built-in library of 100+ RSS links. So just pick one or more and get lines of news captions rolling.   Continue reading
