TOKYO (MacHouse) – It was merely two days ago when we first released our first iOS application. Actually, we’ve just submitted our second iOS application to App Store. This new release is called TVal. And it’s designed for iPhone and iPod Touch only.

TVal is a simple iOS application that will let you quickly find out all areas under an arbitrary time difference from home (default time zone), covering as many as 203 cities around the globe. For example, if you want to find areas that are 12 hours behind your system clock, set the first column of the picker control to minus as shown in Screenshot 1. And set the second number to 12, leaving the third column to 00. Finally, click on Find. You’ll see a list of cities for your search with the number of hits shown at the top-right corner. (See Screenshot 2.) Select any of the names in the list, and you can run the real-time clock for the selected city.   Continue reading

TOKYO (MacHouse) – Life was quite tough for us for the last 2 weeks. Some 14 months ago, we switched software development platforms from Mac OS X to Windows. We were forced to switch development platforms again since Microsoft treats desktop application developers as pieces of trash. Heck… Learning a totally new software language is never easy. La vida no es facil. My Spanish teacher was right after all. Anyway, we are now actively developing iOS applications.

Our very first iOS application is called WorldTimez. It’s developed exclusively for iPad. WorldTimez allows the user to run the real-time digital clock at 21 locations around the globe. It’s quite similar to the digital clock feature of our existing Windows software title called AllTimez. WorldTimez has one feature that makes it different from AllTimez. It lets you see the time difference between each location and Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) or home (default system time).   Continue reading
