What’s Coming Up Next? – MacHouse Introducing AskKey Pro (for Windows)

TOKYO (MacHouse) – We have ported a few existing Mac software titles including Color2Code, Img4Web, FontsView to Windows so far. An application that we’ve just released is another. This Windows software release is AskKey Pro.

AskKey Pro is another application that we initially developed to enhance our software development so that we could have easy access to ASCII values. AskKey Pro covers not just ASCII but also HTML, Windows keycode and Unicode. Speaking of Unicode, you cannot just use symbols as text but also as graphics you see in Figure 2.

This software title is currently distributed as a freeware title as it’s still in beta. You can use it without limitations till May 1, 2012. It’s been tested for Windows 7 64-bit. Note that the version version of the initial Windows release is 2.0.0 because of an existing Mac version.

What’s Coming Up Next? – MacHouse Introducing FontsView (for Windows)

Windows software FontsView

TOKYO (MacHouse) – There are many great graphics applications. Adobe Photoshop is one. Adobe FireWorks is another. And Adobe Illustrator is one for vector graphics. Whatever you have and whatever you use, it’s not so easy to choose the best font for a selection of text. There must be an easier way of comparing different fonts for the same line of text. Hmm… FontsView?

FontsView was initially developed for the Mac platform. And it’s now avaiable for Windows users. Using FontsView, you can quickly see changes for different fonts. Simple select a font from the list. And just hold down the up-arrow key or down-arrow key to preview your text for different fonts. Finally, choose File > Export to generate an HTML file to compare text styles.

This software title is currently distributed as a freeware title as it’s still in beta. You can use it without limitations till May 1, 2012. It’s been tested for Windows 7 64-bit.

What’s Coming Up Next? – MacHouse Introducing eHarvest

Windows software eHarvest

TOKYO (MacHouse) – As we noted last time, we are a bit slow this month since we’ve been brushing up existing Windows software titles. Anyway, the second software title of the month has just been released. It’s called eHarvest.

Windows software eHarvest   Windows software eHarvest

eHarvest is a simple solution to extracting e-mail addresses from a body of text. If you have text files (.txt) to scan for possible e-mail addresses, you can simply choose File > Open. Or drag and drop a selection of text directly onto the top text field.

eHarvest doesn’t have many functions yet. And a beta trial version doesn’t allow the user to edit the top-level domain list. We will make sure that you will get to add new top-level domains to the list and delete/edit existing ones when we release a full version at Microsoft‘s app store.

This software title is currently distributed as a freeware title as it’s still in beta. You can use it without limitations till May 1, 2012. It’s been tested for Windows 7 64-bit. In order to use eHarvest, you must have a display capable of showing at least 900 x 650 pixels.

What’s Coming Up Next? – MacHouse Introducing Img4Web for Windows

Windows software Img4Web

TOKYO (MacHouse) – We usually develop four to five software products each month. It looks like we are slow this month. We actually see January 2012 as a brush-up month. So we’ve been brushing up existing software titles. In fact, new versions of QuickKut and xAccounts are pretty much ready for release. And we are just waiting for Microsoft to open their application store.

In the meantime, we finally released our first software release of this year some 90 minutes ago. It’s called Img4Web. Img4Web? That’s right. Img4Web was originally developed for the Mac platform. And it’s now available for Windows users.

In fact, Img4Web is one of the Mac applications we often use. It’s not because it will let us batch-create thumbnail images but also because it will automatically generate HTML code. As you see above, there are two screenshots. Img4Web has generated HTML code for these tables for us, which makes software product indispensable. That’s because we want to spend as little time as possible for web work, which is boring.

This software title is currently distributed as a freeware title as it’s still in beta. You can use it without limitations till May 1, 2012. It’s been tested for Windows 7 64-bit. In order to use Img4Web, you must have a display capable of showing at least 975 x 700 pixels.
